Face-to-Face with Antoine Grenier – CEO of IDEMIA Smart Identity

Antoine Grenier is a seasoned leader, who built his strong background in engineering on large international projects.

He began his career at French aerospace engine manufacturer Snecma (now Safran Aircraft Engines), where he honed his skills in customer support, marketing, and sales. Over the years, he held key roles in various companies, before joining IDEMIA in 2009.

With the strategic realignment at IDEMIA in January of this year (see IDN February 2024), which elevated Antoine to the position of CEO of IDEMIA Smart Identity (ISI), ID & Secure Document News™ spoke to Antoine to learn more about his insights and perspectives.

Q: What was the favourite part of your early career experiences at IDEMIA?

A: I joined this business almost 15 years ago, after a time in aerospace and defence. My first experience was to work on acquisition projects. I did this for four years, before taking over our devices business and, later on, regions for our Public Security and Identity business.
