Seamless Travel Can Become a Reality

Automated and biometric solutions can make travel safe, easy, and hassle- free. But there are still challenges to overcome – and not just technical ones.

Today, the beginning and end of a trip are often organised digitally. With just a few clicks, users can book a hotel, check flights, and pay online from the comfort of their own home. At their destination, they can easily reserve a rental car, and an app even takes care of self-service check-in.

But one component remains physical: travelers still need to carry ID cards or passports and authenticate themselves by means of manual processes.

Seamless travel is one possible solution to these challenges. By digitising and automating passenger checks, the concept of seamless travel aims to eliminate physical touchpoints along the traveller’s journey without compromising security standards. This also improves the traveller experience.
